Deep Merlot, a blood-red tone chosen to represent what exists beneath the surface.
A symbol of life, connection, sacrifice, and devotion.
It represents the things that cannot be separated from who we are: what we believe in, what we commit ourselves to, and what we are willing to give in order to create something meaningful.
The depth of the Merlot reflects purity and refinement, not as perfection, but as the continuous process of removing what is unnecessary and preserving what matters.
It represents sacrifice.

David represents my personal experiences, curiosity, and craftsmanship.
SLATE represents the ideas those experiences become.
David is the artist who shapes reality through his ideas, while SLATE is the universe those ideas live within.
Together they create one Artist, one Brand. Where every project and connection reflects both the person creating it and the philosophy guiding it.

Rather than following a traditional path, I’ve learned by creating, developing garments, studying construction, understanding materials, and constantly improving my craft.
That process continues every day.
I’m interested in building things that last, both physically and mentally.

Through years of independent study and experimentation, he has developed a design language defined by clean structural lines, calculated detail, and innovation, functionality, and conceptual expression.
Each creation is more than form and function, it’s a statement of intent, a translation of ideas into tangible expression, and craftsmanship built to last.
